Kimberly - Founder and Lead Designer
Born amidst the vibrant culture of Austin, my journey into the world of design and celebrations took a pivotal turn at the age of 14 when my family relocated to the picturesque Dripping Springs. Here, under the vast Texan skies, my passion for design that had already taken root, finally blossomed, cultivated by the expert eye of my mother, Darlene.
At 18, I embarked on my wedding industry journey as an on-site coordinator for the Austin Polo Club. With two decades of expertise, I’ve honed my craft, specializing in crafting unparalleled luxury weddings amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Texas Hill Country. The inspiration for creating unforgettable moments is deeply rooted in my childhood, where my mom’s wisdom and creativity painted the canvas of our home.
In the transformative year of 2020, armed with a design license from the Interior Design Institute, I elevated Rural Birch from Event Planning & Coordination to a realm where Interior Design & Wedding Design, Planning + Coordination converge seamlessly. This strategic shift reflects my commitment to curating spaces and experiences that epitomize the luxury inherent in the Texas Hill Country.
Proudly based in Dripping Springs (Go Tigers!!!), I draw inspiration from the rolling hills, majestic oaks, and the undeniable charm of the Texas Hill Country. With 14 years of blissful marriage to my incredible husband, together, we cherish the laughter and love brought by our two daughters and teenage son.
As an ENFP on the Meyers-Briggs spectrum, my approach is characterized by warmth, creativity, and a meticulous attention to detail. Rural Birch is not just a business; it’s a testament to my lifelong passion and expertise in orchestrating luxury weddings amidst the scenic beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

Darlene - The Heart of the Team
I am Darlene, the artisan behind the soulful designs at Rural Birch. My journey into the world of design began alongside my late husband, forging a path filled with creativity, DIY home repairs, and the inception of a custom furniture business that adorned the homes of luxury ranch clients across Texas.
For over four decades, our partnership laid the groundwork for design, which now defines the essence of Rural Birch. With a love for southern hospitality, and an aesthetic that marries boho, earthy, and organic elements, I have become an expert in crafting spaces that exude luxury amidst the tranquil landscapes of the Texas Hill Country.
Rooted in Blanco, a town where the charm of the Hill Country unfolds in every sunrise and sunset, I bring a timeless quality to every design endeavor. The rustic allure of the surroundings weaves its way into the fabric of each creation, making every project a testament to the natural beauty that defines the Hill Country.
Beyond the realm of design, I find joy in tending to my mini farm, indulging in the art of painting, and reveling in the moments shared with my beloved grandchildren. Julia - Logistics Coordinator and Design Specialist
Welcome to my world at Rural Birch, where logistics seamlessly dance with luxury designs. I’m Julia - the logistical maestro and design enthusiast residing in the charming town of Spring Branch. Beyond my role of three, navigating the intricacies of education while infusing my passion for design into every aspect of my life.
Married for 17 years, my journey into the world of luxury design and wedding planning took an unexpected turn when my sister-in-law Kimberly needed my assistance in wedding planning. Little did I know, my natural knack for logistics, nurtured in a large family and refined through involvement in various weddings, would become a cornerstone of my expertise.
With an eye for design, I take delight in helping craft events that are not only flawlessly executed but also aesthetically stunning. As the extrovert and social butterfly of our team, I bring a vibrant energy to every project, creating experiences that leave a lasting impression on our clients.
Beyond my professional life, my love language is expressed through cooking delicious meals for those that I care about. Whether it’s orchestrating logistics or infusing luxury into every detail, Rural Birch is my canvas for creating unforgettable experiences.
